A lifelong Sacramento resident, Rick began working in the drywall industry in the early 1980s after obtaining a degree in business. After college, he entered the drywall trade through an apprenticeship program. Despite job opportunities in office settings, Rick chose the hands-on, demanding path of drywall work. Nearly a decade later, he decided to pair his business degree with his skills and experience to start his own company, Do It Now Sheetrock, in 1989, which eventually became Do It Now Drywall. Celebrating over 35 years of excellence, Do It Now Drywall proudly serves customers throughout the greater Sacramento area. Known for the quality of our workmanship, we are reliable, always on time, and responsive to communications. Our customers never have to wonder if or when we’ll show up or finish the job.

Our Family
In addition to his professional commitments, Rick’s wife helps manage the office and volunteers for Sierra Wildlife, working in the baby bird nursery. They have four adult children and two nearly grown grandchildren. As animal lovers, their home was once a menagerie of dogs, cats, a turtle, and fish. Sadly, their precious pups and their turtle, who lived for 35 years, have passed. Their cat Goose, now seven, was an abandoned feral kitten found in Rick's drywall trailer when he was just two weeks old. Bottle-fed and raised by the family, Goose has become a cherished member of their household.
